Ok so I need an amp that is an all rounder. I like to play stuff from AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, and all that sort of stuff. I need an amp with enough gain for the metallica, but still with some sort of AC/DC sound, I want enough bass so I don't have to have the bass on full(I want a lot sometimes), and i'd like the amp to be from 30-50 watts. The main thing I want is bass, and a reliable amp. I've heard good thugs about the VOX Valvetronix amps.

Checkout a Bandit, It has good bass, those $300 in the states at Musicians friend on the net. Don't know what shipping to your part of the world is. Go play one if you can find one locally. They don't get the respect they deserve, kind of an underdog , I dig them. Has great tight crunch for metal leads. very versatile Blues to rippin metal. Great for gigs or practice. 80 kickarse watts of rockin thunder.
Frugal Guitarist and You tube have video clips of those amps. You may find most amps on You Tube.
Other amps are Cubes 20- 80 watts by Roland, Vypyrs also by Peavey. Try that Vox too. These have more Bells and whistles than the Bandit , I think some amps now have USB2 connectivity that is a great feature.

I played one of those at GC the other day. You could do better for the price. I wasn't impressed.

Of the modeler amps in that range, I think the Valvetronix are probably still the best. with the Peavey Vypyrs close behind (and more affordable).

Vox VT30. 12" combo. Under $300. The VT50 is a 212 and around $500. Check the used market for these. They have a pretty nice tone.

If bass response is so important to you, consider getting a head and a sealed-back cabinet, instead of an open-back combo.

yeah, but for my experience if you need a budget 1x1 combo, open backs give a more 3D sound.

well, realizinf his braod tonal range... AC/DC to Guns n Roses to Metallica.... I don' know... that is quite a "wide" spectrum. he might need 3 amps.
Lately, I have been playing everythign from Allman Brothers to Derrick Trucks to Warren HAynes. I might need more amps too.
He who can keep his head when all around are losing theirs... Probably does not understand the situation
