Hi All,
im new to guitarists.net, i apologize if im posting in the wrong spot.
I have just ordered a mod kit for my proco rat 2.
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to remove the footswitch from the pedal and used an external footswitch to control this unit.
I have a g-major and a midi footboard which both support external switching of a device.
im going to start ripping apart this rat 2 when the parts come in but any input anyone has before i start would be appreciated.

hummm how about placing it in a loop switcher? Now that you invested on the gmajor and the controller, it would not be out of reach a loop switcher. This way, nor the Rat or any other pedal should be modded, but called by midi commands...

Hi,
thats a great idea. the only problem with that is finding a loop switcher that will work with an external footswitch control. do you know of any? a quick google search wasnt very promosing.

as said in my original post, my midi foot board and the g-major both support external switching of a device. what i am trying to do is switch the rat from either one.
